Many dog owners are not aware of such law exists in singapore. Dogs are required to be leashed at all times when in public places, that includes being in the dog run, dog cafe, pets cafe, beach, and even at a dog friendly swimming pool. 

We understand that such laws exist to protect other citizens who might be afraid of dogs and to protect dogs from going missing. What we are trying to pursue is, for licensed or carefully set up premises such as dog cafe, pets cafe & dog recreation centres (swimming pools), not forgetting all dog runs built within parks with proper fencing and safe guarding entrance/exit gates. 

We are speaking on behalf of all affected pets businesses, we hope pet owners who shares the same thought stands with us on this petition with hopes for the relevant authorities in singapore to reconsider the licensing conditions and laws applied to “pet friendly” premises
