Please note that since the issue is in S Court. This might not really help much. But giving this a shot initially. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ We see that the child Anitha S represented a deprived and underprivileged section of society in the Supreme Court. However, we see that the the Honorable Court and the Honorable Center failed to treat them equally before law as compared to the lakhs of other students who had taken NEET. This is a violation of their basic rights, considering them as human and as a child. A compromise formula, considering the disadvantages faced by this children was clearly denied. What action will be taken for the children who were otherwise qualified for this in this very academic year? A hurried attempt to bring a new State Run Coaching Centers, Online question banks (which needs smart phones and internet connection), hiring quality staff as against the already established private coaching centers, we still see is putting them in the backseat. And is an unnecessary complication of our existing education system. The statistics which came post these protest clearly show that not many Government school students qualified for the tests. When quality still needs to be achieved in the existing setup, bringing in an additional overhead simply to bring a common system will push the children from weaker sections and rural areas into a more disadvantaged position. Kindly ensure equality and justice to ALL children. The previous approach which used the 12th standard marks of students was more equal than the current NEET based approach. As citizens, we have peacefully brought our concerns to your table. Hope you will respect our concerns and see that justice is available to all equally. Attaching consolidated petition for your reference. We will be happy to receive an update on change.org itself too. Thanks again.
