You may wonder why we've been quiet on here. We've had nothing to say.
Yes, WE have been working away in the background. E.g., a hugely impactful podcast with Kayleigh is coming this week. And Richard and I have contributed to a half hour ITV special due in a few weeks. It will focus on why change is obstructed at every level...
But everyone else, everyone to whom we've written, has limply coughed on a sheet of paper by means of response - or ignored us.
...That's you Sir Keir and Wes - that is...
That was ... until ... shortly before 5pm on Friday. When Caulfield scraped the bottom of the toxic communications barrel, spaffed out a letter to Mr Davies (who he?) and gave false testimony.
Mr Davies is my dad. He's not a maternity safety campaigner. And if that's an R / S typo - fine - except Kayleigh, Colin, Richard and I are co-signatories on every single letter we sign. We work together. Exclusively - but exclusively together. It's a shared experience + trust = thing thing.
So, to write to reply to only one person. Weeks after their repeated letters to you. And to drop the scrapings from the bottom of the toxic communications barrel at shortly before 5 on a Friday is to hold one's middle finger firmly up in the faces of us, whilst laughing and burning effigies of our dead babies.
Nice one Maria. Class act.
To everyone who finds today a difficult day, your feelings are valid forever. There is no time limit on grief or trauma - despite the tutting, eye rolls, sighs or silent disbelief of those who think you should be 'over it' by now - you are not alone.
