Protect The Critically Endangered Atlantic Whale

The Issue

The North Atlantic right whale is critically endangered. Worldwide there are only 450 whales left. It is very likely that the whales will go extinct in a matter of years. Despite the crucial state, the whales are in the government refuses to protect them.

Recently 17 whales were found dead, killed by fishing equipment. A Two-year-old female was found bound in ropes and being dragged along the sea floor by an old and rusty crab trap. These are just the death from fishing equipment, fishing ships frequently kill the whales by colliding with them.

At this rate, the North Atlantic Right Whale will go extinct, once that happens the only places to see the whales will be in a museum. Save the Atlantic Whales, sign and share this petition to urge the government to ban the use of dangerous nets.
