This petition was created to determine if flat track motorcycle racing riders wish to unionize to help improve the conditions under which they race and gain overall collective bargaining power with the organizations and companies that host racing events. 

Labor unions are typically born out of unfair or unsafe working conditions, something flat track motorcycle racing riders face each time they race. Professional sports athletes have unionized since the 1950's yet the sport of flat track motorcycle racing lags behind.

The pioneers of the NHL, NBA, and the NFL fought powerful millionaires and risked their professional careers to ensure that future players in these leagues would be well compensated and cared for beyond their playing careers.
