Hello everyone I would like to adress with an issue I have got here today. I'm a Student of NIOS(National institute of open schooling) higher secondary. The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) formerly known as National Open School (NOS) was established in November,1989 as an autonomous organisation in pursuance of National Policy on Education 1986 by the Ministry of Education (MOE), Government of India.

So in short let me tell you,that we were supposed to have our board exams this year,NIOS conducts board exams twice in a year making it more flexible so that's really great. So they conduct first in April-may session second in October-november session, let me tell you that we all count in the same year.

So due to the humongous rise of Covid 19 3rd wave in India this year top educational boards like CISCE, CBSE, West Bengal board,state boards etc decided to cancel all the board exams this year, thinking about students life and nothing else.

But NIOS decides to cancel it's April-may exam and conduct the October-nov exam and that also offline not online, in the exam centres students who are appearing to give the exam are either partially vaccinated or not at all vaccinated and there's no proper checking going on as well, and 3rd wave is on the brink and it's said that it will affect children the most, so technically speaking is this fair? Please let the whole community know. We cannot just risk our lives during this pandemic just for marks but we don't have any option! We have to do it! Is it fair? TO PUT OUR LIFE ON THE LINE JUST FOR A MERE MARKS??

Students, parents and people around the country, PLEASE sign this petition, not only for protecting our students, but protecting our country.. We cannot afford to lose our close ones to covid we all fall in the same year when the 3rd wave came it's not like covid is gone and repaired,the damage still exists and yet the NIOS board decides to conduct exams" OFFLINE". If the exams of lakhs of students take place offline for NIOS ,many students will be harmed.. and they may even die. This will place fault on the education boards of the country who do not care about the students.

Students are unvaccinated.

 

Will you take responsibility if an innocent student dies just for marks?

 

You're playing with many student's future's.

Respected Prof Saroj Sharma mam (chair person of NIOS) and respected prime minister of India Narendra Modi please don't take students'life so lightly,please give us justice.
