Spate of accidents are happening in recent times on highways. One particular type of accidents can be avoided by making design changes in the height of the divider. Now the height of the divider is 6 inches only. Vehicles , which lost control, are going to the other side of the road easily by crossing the divider line due to too short height of the divider. unsuspecting vehicles which are coming in the opposite direction have no time for reaction for avoiding collision. For no fault of theirs they are getting involved in major accidents resulting loss of life. NHAI can cause an action to change the design of the divider by increasing the height to a height which obstructs vehicle from going to the other side of the road. Costs involved in increased project costs can be compensated by reducing the number of lives lost due to accidents.
