After seeing yet another abhorrent case of animal cruelty this weekend in Waterford involving an innocent Mare who was dragged from a van a left to die alone, suffering in immense pain after what looks like weeks of unspeakable abuse at the hands of vile cowardly monsters. 

So its very clear now that the laws in this country do absolutely nothing to deter these horrible ' individuals ' from abusing defenceless animals. A simple ban and a fine is not going to deter this level of cruelty, and it never will. Quiet frankly, its disgusting, as far as I can see there's no political parties in Ireland that are remotely interested in addressing this ever growing concern. 

I'm pleading with people to sign this petition and forward it to their local TDs, via email and social media sites. I have included a link below to where you can find the information to contact them. We elected them to their positions and we can demand stringent laws be put forward whereas anyone caught abusing animals will face penalties/sentences that fit the crime.  Otherwise it will only get worse in this country and it's bad enough as it is... Personally I think jail time is too soft a punishment for the savages that put this poor Mare through such a horrific life.

Finally these laws need enforcement and we need to have a dedicated team within the Gardai to address these atrocities and enforce these stringent laws and make sure the monsters that commit these vile acts are prosecuted and any animals under their care are removed. Make these cowards think twice before they beat a animal that can't defend itself.
