The NDIS have reneged on paying for a vehicle conversion for my powered wheelchair

The NDIS have remained with their decision not to pay for any or all costs for a vehicle conversion to accommodate my wheelchair despite it being included in my approved plan. It is particularly disappointing given that I have already purchased a suitable van ready for conversion at a significant cost.
While they have now distanced themselves from the original reason given being that they wouldn't get value for money due to Motor Neurone Disease having a life expectancy of only 3 to 5 years, they no doubt still consider this the primary reason. This is despite the fact that I have had this disease for over eleven years and actually have a rare slow progressing form of the disease in the same manner as the late Stephen Hawking. He lived with the disease for over fifty years.
At present I am pretty much housebound until a platform lift is installed so that I can get my wheelchair in and out of the house. Having a suitable wheelchair converted vehicle will enable me to enjoy a full and active life in the wider community.
Another application has been submitted for internal assessment with no result to date, nor any indication when a decision is likely.
The NDIA have so far rejected the application outright without suggesting any options such as cost sharing which I am prepared to do. Prior to the NDIS, I would have received a significant grant to help offset the cost, however this is no longer available.
I simply want the NDIA to make a prompt decision, preferably in my favour, but a decision nonetheless.
