NCARB Refunds and Representation

NCARB Refunds and Representation
The Issue
NCARB refuses to grant refunds to all candidates. They have also cancelled examinations less than two days before examination at great personal expense to candidates. They have pretended that this is Prometric's doing, but Prometric is adamant it is NCARB. We the candidates believe Prometric. NCARB is hoarding fees, and opportunity for examination.
The people of NCARB have insulated themselves away from candidates such that they have not responded to any of our claims
We are calling on the Mayor of the District of Columbia and all licensed architects of every jurisdiction to persuade NCARB to do the following:
1. Issue full refunds to all candidates currently in the process of taking ARE examinations.
2. Issue cancellations at least a month prior to scheduled seatings.
3. Pause the "rolling clock" until Prometric test centers are back to 100% capacity.
4. In addition, all NCARB seat credit expiration dates should be extended to correspond to "rolling clocks" accordingly.
5. NCARB yearly dues should be held until the pandemic is over. All people that have already paid will get a nine month extension (as has already been put in place with rolling clocks extensions)
6. A representative for test takers should be in the room when NCARB makes decisions regarding the rollout of a new examination (they are calling 5.1) this representative will be a licensed architect, voted on by the community of candidates in an open election advertised on NCARB's website. This representative will be non-partisan but an active member of the community of candidates. This member will be a liaison and have direct communication with candidates without divulging content from examinations.
7. Provide contact information for administrative staff and/or employ customer service representatives with backgrounds in architecture.
In addition, we are calling on the Attorney General of the District of Columbia, to investigate unfair consumer practices including but not limited to:
1. Withheld services and resources and refusal of refunds.
2. Withheld information regarding cancellations of services and resources
3. Retaliatory tactics designed to stifle speech against NCARB
