Is it okay to peep into something fun?
'Squid Game', the Korean Netflix Original drama, topped in all 83 countries that provide Netflix. But in China, where Netflix is not provided, 'Squid Game' is being illegally distributed on a large scale.
China has been the largest illegal distributor of Korean contents over the past five years. However, the Chinese government is not taking any measures to prevent the damage suffered by copyright holders due to Chinese illegal distribution of Korean contents.
According to Article 15.28 of Korea-China FTA, both sides shall take effective measures to curtail repetitive infringement of copyright on the Internet.
Article 15.28: Measures against Repetitive Copyright Infringements on the Internet
- Each Party shall take effective measures to curtail repetitive infringement of copyright and related rights on the Internet or other digital network.
We demand the Chinese government the following:
1. National Copyright Administration of the People's Republic of China (NCAC) should find out all Chinese web sites that illegally distributed contents, and issue an order to stop acts of infringement.
2. Chinese Ministry of Public Security (MPS) should investigate personnel who illegally distributed contents, and punish those who violated copyright law.

중국 정부는 한중 FTA 제15.28조에 따라 인터넷상 반복적인 침해를 줄이기 위한 효과적인 조치를 취할 의무가 있습니다.
제15.28조: 인터넷상 반복적인 저작권 침해에 대한 조치
- 각 당사국은 인터넷이나 그 밖의 디지털 네트워크에서 저작권과 저작인접권의 반복적인 침해를 줄이기 위한 효과적인 조치를 한다.
우리는 중국 정부에 다음과 같이 요구합니다.
1. 중국 국가판권국은 중국 내 불법적으로 콘텐츠를 유통하는 웹사이트를 전수 조사하고, 침해행위 정지명령을 발령하라.
2. 중국 공안부는 중국 내 불법적으로 콘텐츠를 유통하는 자를 조사하고, 저작권 침해죄로 강력히 처벌하라.
