Provide sign language interpreters and allow for the use of closed captioning equipment at the College World Series.

On behalf of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community, we have been trying to work with the NCAA to provide sign language interpreters for the College World Series. This event brings thousands of people to Omaha, Nebraska each year and everyone should have accessibility to the events. TD Ameritrade baseball stadium is set up to accommodate the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, but the NCAA is unwilling to work and allow these accommodations at this point.
We are asking the NCAA to provide or allow sign language interpreters for the opening ceremony and to use the equipment that is available for closed captioning. The NCAA is not willing to use any of these accommodations and we would like to see that the NCAA comply with the laws and become accessible to the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community.
With this being the 25th anniversary of the ADA act, giving people who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing equal access is very important. This petition serves as a open letter to the NCAA because it is time to open doors to another group that continues to be denied equal access in the fun of the College World Series.
