As a lifelong cheese enthusiast, I've always been fascinated by the rich history and diversity of cheese. That's why I'm proposing we establish a National Cheese History Month in America.

Cheese is more than just a food item; it's an integral part of our nation's culinary heritage. With over 2,000 varieties worldwide and hundreds produced domestically (American Cheese Society), there is so much to explore and appreciate about this beloved dairy product.

A dedicated month would not only honor this history but also educate people about the artistry involved in cheese-making. It could inspire future generations to continue these traditions and innovate new ones.

The United States is already home to numerous food observances such as National Ice Cream Month (July) or National Pizza Month (October). Adding a Cheese History Month would further enrich our national calendar and pay homage to one of our most cherished foods.
