Pete rose belongs in the baseball hall of fame as a player. Pete holds the record for having major league records and has a resume t hat no player dead or alive can match.

Pete rose is being kept out of the hall on a 1991 rule put in place by former commissioner fay vincent even though baseball and the hall of fame are two different groups. Pete rose retired as a player in 1986 and was later banned in 1989 for betting on baseball. In 1989 there was no rule in play by the hall of fame about ineligable players. So when that rule was voted in in 1991 it should have never applied to pete rose. And at the very least pete rose should have been grandfathered in. For pete had his 5 year wait to become eligable already. And today pete rose has items. Records and stats in the hall of fame but there is no induction plaque. Enough of the double standards.
