We want CPA Testing Facility in Qatar

We want CPA Testing Facility in Qatar
The Issue
As you might know, Currently CPA exam for citizens and residents of Qatar is only available in countries such as the UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait Lebanon, Saudi Arabia etc.. Due to Covid-19 restriction almost all these countries have put in place some restriction regarding travel.
This leaves students like us clueless about our future. Another option available is to travel to the US or Europe which is expensive and students from some countries will face visa rejections. Traveling to another country is not a solution for exam takers in Qatar as the residents (forming a large portion of the country) are from different countries. Thus, different passport holders have different visa rules for travelling to a country which makes the process harder.
Also, Travel is now more expensive than ever. Travelling to any of the above mentioned countries would typically cost us about at least our three month stipend as most of the CPA student are working as interns at local public accounting firms. Only few firms here reimburse study cost and among those firms which reimburse, they only bear the cost of application and exam fees. Travel and accommodation expense is borne by the candidates Thus the current situation is a burden for future CPAs in the state of Qatar. We only get few days study leave from employer, having to use this time for traveling and quarantine makes things harder for us and it also affects our study preparation. This problem is more severe during the busy season.
CPA exam is conducted by NASBA in coordination with Prometric centers around the world. Qatar has an established Prometric which conducts testing for various American courses such as CMA , CFA, OET and much more. Thus, starting CPA exam testing using the existing facilities in Qatar would be a piece of cake.
So in order to eradicate the above mentioned issues faced by CPA students I humbly request all to sign this petition so that this might reach the concerned officials
