I always say "keep hope alive"and this sudden interest by the media has given us cause to do so! We have been fundraising to get the word OUT THERE concerning our petition and recent articles in the media will certainly serve that purpose. Our demand for national action has been written about here in the United States as well as in the United Kingdom! The people of Scotland not only stand in solidarity with out demand but have contributed financially to it! And an offer had been made to create a "signature quilt" with the names of those who are donating! This has sparked interest from other countries such as Mexico, a country where 43 children have been "kidnapped" by police and a vigorous fight for their return is in progress. America claims to afford "more rights" to it's citizens than any other country in the world. But are these "rights" merely on paper? Because we have not seen them protect any of those murdered, wrongfully incarcerated, or brutalized by police! And if those rights cannot protect from any of the aforementioned then what value or purpose do they serve? We cannot be made to rely upon "rights" that do not protect or serve us. And a law which is unable to punish "outright murder" is a failure of the highest magnitude. Because murder is a crime underneath the law. But the law is unable to handle it in means that bring about justice! Yet the expectation is that we "accept" the inability of the law. Why indeed should we? Would the inability of any one of us be "accepted" if we were not to comply to with the law? Would they excuse our inability to do as the law directs? Most certainly not! Neither should we accept the inability of the law.
