The road ahead

For all of those supporters not on Facebook, I wanted to give you an update about what will be happening in the next month. Kayne has had the week off from radiation and has been enjoying the downtime. He has been able to see friends, play with friends online and he went to school to visit this week as well. He played volleyball and swam this week. Kayne comes to Cincinnati to meet the medical team and have an MRI and stuff on Monday and Tuesday at Children's Hospital in Cincinnati. The week is a fast week because on Wednesday we go to London, Ky to visit with my mom and family before flying home on Friday. I drove our trusty 2007 Jetta to Kentucky. That gives us a car to have while we are in Cincinnati and Kentucky. Kayne and Kirsten fly out of London on the Mercy flight. I ended up getting a ticket on Delta because it was over the 500 pound limit with the three of us. Not sure on why the limit. Friday morning, I will zip back to the Greater Cincinnati Northern Kentucky Airport to catch my flight. We are home for the fundraiser at the Ormond Beach YMCA Saturday, February 11, 2017. It is from 3-5 and we are expecting a good crowd, so if you are able to join us please do. Kirsten and Kayne fly back out Sunday, February 12, 2017 and I will drive back up bringing Chopper (our cat) and the clothing and stuff needed to stay for the next 30 days. Kayne will be admitted to the hospital for the first couple of days starting on the 13th and we must be in the area for the following 30 days to monitor the side effects from the medication. If you don't know, Kayne is doing a Clinical Trial of a medication at Children's Cincinnati. Staying in the area for 30 days puts us into almost the middle of March before returning back to Florida. After we return to Florida, we come back up once per month to get the medication. He takes the medication for 3 weeks and off 1 week for recovery. After returning from Cincinnati in the middle of March, we are on our way to graduation just a short two months away. We are trying to live in the moment spending our time with Kayne and others.
