Saving Places That MatterAtlanta, GA, United States

Supporters of preserving the important buildings and structures of the Pratt-Pullman Historic Site,
Yesterday, State Senators, Elena Parent and Vincent Fort introduced an important piece of legislation calling for the preservation of the Pratt Pullman: Senate Resolution 180 (http://www.legis.ga.gov/Legislation/20172018/164497.pdf)
It is critical that this resolution get through committee, so please take a moment to call or email the following State Senators:
ed.harbison@senate.ga.gov (404) 656-0074
blake.tillery@senate.ga.gov (404) 656-0089
rick.jeffares@senate.ga.gov (404) 463-1376
gail.davenport@senate.ga.gov (404) 463-5260
stevehenson@mindspring.com (404) 656-0085
chuck.payne@senate.ga.gov (404) 463-5402
Also the Governor's Office - georgia.governor@gov.state.ga.us 404-656-1776
If you aren't sure what to say, here's a good place to start: "I support Senate Resolution 180 and the preservation of the Pratt Pullman Historic Site. The state has the responsibility and ability to preserve this important historic site and we must ensure that this property is protected while it is still owned by the citizens of Georgia."
Please call and write and add your name to the growing list of supporters.
Some skeptics out there don't think the Governor will listen to these concerns, despite our cause having the support of:
the Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation,
the Atlanta Preservation Center,
the Atlanta Preservation Alliance,
the American Institute of Architects Georgia and Atlanta chapters,
the Kirkwood Neighborhood Organization,
Neighborhood Planning Unit O,
Atlanta City Council,
Atlanta's Department of Planning,
the State Historic Preservation Division,
the Commissioner of the State Department of Natural Resources,
the former State Attorney General,
the National Park Service,
and over 1,800 signers of this petition.
Shouldn't we hold our elected officials accountable?
Please call and write and share this petition.
