Petition updateAmend Roadmap for Reopening Nashville to reflect a venue’s size for private eventsVictory! (Of sorts)

After Gov. Lee gave the wedding industry (including Nashville) a reprieve on May 22, we knew our message was finding sympathetic ears. (Weddings - ceremonies and receptions - permitted to be held, regardless of size).
Last Friday (May 29), we were contacted by the Mayor’s office which offered to open private events at 50% of a venue’s capacity up to 250 people. This is similar to bars (but they don’t have a cap on size!). With Phase 3 projected to start next Monday, that means most private events will be able to be held at the capacity required.
It is not all that we wanted or deserved, but it is better than we had when we started. Thank you for fighting the fight with us. Now, let’s get off to the party......
