It’s come to my attention that certain members of the Nashville Indiana Town council wants to either cut the Nashville Police Department in half (which will knock our police department to three officers) or do away with The Nashville Police Department completely. Please sign this petition to let the Nashville Town Council know that we support Nashville Police Department and the budget shouldn’t be cut, nor should we lose Nashville Police Department completely. Our town police department does and amazing job fighting crime, they are also excellent at community policing. Our officers deserve to keep their jobs!!!! This is not a merger with Brown County Sheriff’s Department, that is not on the table. This is an attempt to defund the Nashville Police Department and take away vital services that our town needs. Statistics show that crime has risen in our town over the last few years. With between 1 and 3 million visiting our town yearly, this brings and increased risk of crimes, more traffic accidents, and other emergency concerns. Our town needs a fully staffed police department. Please sign this petition to support Nashville Police Department.
