On February 13, 2019, The rover Opportunity lost contact with NASA communications after stalling in a dust storm. Opportunity's original mission was intended to last 90 days. It lasted just under 5,500 days. Opportunity was one of the most useful and far-traveled rovers to ever land on mars, and It would be a sin to not bring it back, not just for nostalgia for those who worked on it, but for analysis, providing useful information as to how things degrade on mars for future missions.
