Team Amino, Narvii, and the whole Amino app in itself has stayed silent for far too long on these issues.

Hi, my name is John Conroy, although you can call me KFS. I'm a long time user of Amino, a social media app built around having your own community and making friends based around fandoms or fanbases of certain things like games, arts, movies, etc.

On December 21st, I was banned with no warning from the app. This has led to my community, the Hearts of Iron: IV Amino, being left without an "agent", which is basically the head of the Amino, due to a bug of an unknown cause.

This means that we cannot function as well as we used to, and has reduced the quality of life on the app. However, I am not the only one to have this issue. There are many more people who have been unfairly banned without notice like me by the broken moderation system that the Amino app has. Amino has no ban appeal system, and they (as far as I know) cannot unban after a app-wide ban has been issued.

There are so many other issues that can be addressed too, which I will do so below:

Lackluster technical support from TA

• If you have been on the app for a long time, or happen to lead a community, you'll have noticed the absolute lack of support TA will give to creators on the app. This is exemplified with the fact that agent status did not transfer due to a bug, which I emailed TA about, to which they simply responded with an automated message that basically said "you're on your own, screw you". There are so many other issues that I don't have the time to address here, but I know for a fact that there are more.

The Child Pedophilia Ring

• There has been an ongoing and evergrowing issue on the app about child pedophilia. TA seems to have denied to address this issue, which is troubling, considering the subject matter. I myself, being 15 years of age, have been targeted by this in the form of attempted solicitation of photos. This needs to stop, and TA needs to take action and speak about it.

Mass flagging/exploitation of the ban system

• My entire community was a target of a mass-flagging attack, and I am worried that it is happening at a much larger scale than I'd ever fear to see happen. TA runs their service entirely through bots, with no way to appeal bans or community disablement. This is a serious issue if the service is to be run by bots, which aren't always accurate, especially in my case.

There are many more issues that need addressing, too, and that is why I have unfortunately been pushed to my breaking point and have been encouraged to make this petition to bring change. This app has a near and dear place in my heart, being that it pulled me out of many bad moments in my currently short life. I would hate to see it die out because of poor support from the developers. If you have been unfairly banned, had issues with lackluster support from TA, have witnessed the child pedophilia ring taking off on the app and want to see it gone, or simply want them to address other bugs and issues we have been experiencing recently, I highly, HIGHLY encourage you to sign this petition.
