Director Terry Gray who is not pictured congratulated Senator Alana DiMario who represents Narragansett and Block Island for receiving RI Clean Water Association's Legislator of the Year. Senator Alana M DiMario and Director Gray have failed us in Galilee and in their support of Offshore Wind Farms. How can the Director act as Director of the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management when he has allowed James Procaccianti and Joseph Paolino create an Environmental Nightmare in Galilee? Our Senator and our Representatives fail to speak up in fear they will be blacklisted by the legislators at the State Capital. Even though Senator Alana DiMario has failed us in Galilee, the Senate gives her an award.
In Rhode Island, it appears it never ends with our elected leaders continuing to support corporate billionaires. With our former Governor Gina Raimondo she supported the UHIP and diverted millions into her Point Judith Capital Fund.
Governor Raimondo decided to keep Deloitte Consulting — the company that designed the state's trouble-plagued, $617-million public-assistance computer system known as UHIP — under terms in which the company would pay the state $50 million in cash.
UHIP — short for the Unified Health Infrastructure Project — was supposed to streamline eligibility verification for the food stamp program (now known as SNAP), Medicaid, subsidized childcare and cash assistance. It experienced major failures after launching in September 2016, and the effort to fix it has taken years.
We also had Gina Raimondo take the State Pension Monies and put it into her Point Judith Capital Investment Account, and she gave herself 125,000 bonus for 13 years. How was this not a conflict of interest?
And now, the insanity continues with Governor McKee.
We have our Narragansett Representative Carol Hagon McEntee and Senator DiMario who both are on the State Environmental Committees failing to speak out about Galilee or the proposed offshore Wind Farms. Senator DiMario is the appointed Chairperson for the Senate Environmental Committee, yet she and our Representative Carol Hagan McEntee fail to speak out about the harm the RIDEM has allowed James Procaccianti and Joseph Paolino created in Galilee, Rhode Island or voice their objections to the proposed Wind Farms.
Multi-Billionaires continue to profit regardless of the financial, safety, health, and economic harm they cause our State. Would Governor McKee, Senator DiMario, Director Gray, Representative Carol Hagan McEntee, and other State Representatives and Senators want to take a tour inside the Lighthouse Inn without a Hazmatt Suit?
Wind Farms can potentially cripple our fishing industry in Galilee, harm our marine life, and forever pollute our waters with wind turbines.
Our Governor and Director Gray will always support elected politicians that support their nefarious and detrimental actions that will HURT our environment.
Our Governor is also corrupt in my opinion as he too supports the multi-billionaires at the expense of our State and our residents. He is supporting the Tidewater Landing Soccer Stadium that will cost the State Multi-Millions of Dollars. He is supporting the Orsted Offshore Windfarms that has the potential to put many fishermen out of work, and it has been shown Offshore Windfarms will cause our electrical bills to go up significantly. Our Governor also continues to praise the RIDEM Director for all his outstanding work on the environment.
Now we have another nightmare regarding the Washington Bridge. The bridge is supposed to have periodic inspections to catch and repair damages due to aging before they escalate. Just last year, the inspectors said the bridge was fine. Now we are told the whole bridge most likely will have to be replaced. This will be a multi-million-dollar project. A federal investigation has started.
First, we have corrupt Gina Raimondo forever damaging and robbing money from our residents, state workers, and our entire state, and now we have Governor McKee taking over with the great harm he is causing our State. In Rhode Island, we have more coverups, and more unscrupulous actions by our elected leaders than any other State. When will this nightmare ever end with our State's elected officials. It is like they all play ball with one another. Sadly, they are breaking all the rules for their gain and the taxpayers of Rhode Island loss.
