Please encourage 1 family member and /or friend to sign this petition as there is strength in numbers.    Thank you to each and every one of you who have signed this petition.  Forever Grateful.

Here is the most recent letter I sent out to Procaccianti Developers. Let's hope they will respond back.

Dear Mr. Ralph Izzi, Jr. Vice President Corporate Marketing & Public Affairs

I would like to sit down and have a meeting with James Procaccianti and Joseph Paolino with regards to when the Lighthouse Inn will be demolished, and to discuss ideas on how to create a viable development plan for Galilee. The Town of Narragansett has served notice to your company that the Town of Narragansett would like a response within 30 days with respect to when your company will demolish the Lighthouse Inn.

In addition, the street level parking lots are being operated in violation of the Town of Narragansett's zoning ordinances. I would like to know when your company will no longer be operating the street level parking lots in Galilee. The parking lots should be turned over to the Town of Narragansett, so it can use that money to support Galilee and its town.

There has been great concern on how your company that controls over 10 Billion in Real Estate has created such an environmental and an economic burden for Galilee by your company intentionally abandoning the Lighthouse Inn. It is now an environmental and health hazard. It also hurts the entire Village of Galilee. Would any of you like to have the Lighthouse Inn border any of your businesses or neighborhoods where you live?

We have a small state. Sadly, as a result of the total disregard Procaccianti Developers has had to Galilee, Mr. James Procaccianti and Mr. Joseph Paolino are being notoriously named slumlord billionaires. We all can see that Mr. Procaccianti and Mr. Paolino can spend multimillions on their hotels and make them be showcases. We are hoping Mr. Procaccianti and Mr. Paolino can engage in deep reflection and have a change of heart. The University of Rhode Island has created two viable development plans for Galilee. I hope you may consider many of the suggestions outlined in those development plans. Professor Will Green whose classes produced viable development plans for Galilee would love to sit down with your team.

With respect to parking, the State can operate a parking garage when one is built, and the remaining land can be used for a viable development such as a boutique hotel, a maritime museum, short term housing units for fishermen, a playground and recreational area for children and their families, and so much more. In addition, the State can utilize parking at Sand Hill Cove (Rodger Wheeler) State Beach as it has an enormous parking lot. I would gladly sit down with Mr. Procaccianti, Mr. Voccola, and Mr. Paolino to work together, so we can make Galilee so much more than street level parking lots. Street level parking in Galilee is no solution for Galilee, but it is great problem for Galilee.

I do not know if you have seen the videos that are circulating online about the horrendous conditions of the Lighthouse Inn, but if I owned that property, I would be ashamed to own it and have my name attached to it. Please do the right thing.

When we leave our short time on Earth, we will be remembered for either the good or bad we did to others and our environment. Sadly, as it stands now, many in Rhode Island are deeply upset due to the gross mismanagement of the 5-acre parcel of land your company has leased out from the RIDEM.

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for Procaccianti Developers and all those affiliated with the Procaccianti team to change their tarnished image created by their prior actions in Galilee. Your team can now correct its image by creating a viable development that will help the State, the Town, the Commercial Fishermen, and all those who visit Galilee.

We have an online petition of over 4000 signatures in support of a viable development plan for Galilee. People have donated over $5000 dollars in support of the petition. The Our Town: Narragansett FB Page has over 11000 members, and it is growing every day. We have a south county rental site that has over 3000 members. We have the Narragansett Town Council Forum Page that has almost 2000 members. We have testimony at the Narragansett Town Council Meetings from residents that speak out against what is happening in Galilee as a result of the abandoned Lighthouse Inn and the street level parking lots. All eyes are now on your company with respect to what actions they will now take to either improve Galilee by creating a viable mixed use development plan for Galilee or be forever remembered as creating the worse environmental conditions and the greatest economic burden for a Town on State Leased land by a private developer in the history of the United States.

The RI Attorney General's Office and other news agencies have been notified. The gross mismanagement of the 5-acre parcel has been making the papers such as the Narragansett Times, the South County Independent, and even the Providence Journal has published a letter I wrote in regard to what is happening in Galilee. We even had a demonstration rally last summer, and if things do not improve, we will plan to have another demonstration rally.

Please do the right thing and work with the Town of Narragansett to create a viable mixed-use development for Galilee. Please feel free to call me at 401-218-3614 or email me at aalbaphd@gmail.com. Please tell Mr. Voccola, I was asking for him.

                                      Respectfully Submitted, Dr. Albert Alba
