Dear Supporters of the Narragansett Proposal for a viable development plan in Galilee:  

This Monday, December 6th, 2021, the Narragansett Town Council Members need to show solidarity in their support for the Town of Narragansett's Proposal that was submitted to the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management and the Procaccianti Development Group.   It is our hope that the presentation by Dr. Ewa Dzwierzynski  will clearly show the Narragansett Proposal is far superior to the proposals submitted by the Procaccianti Development Group and the Quonset Area Aqua Development, Inc.    Procaccianti's proposal for part 1 of his company's plan is primarily a parking lot with a small strip mall.   His company notes if they get a 99-year lease they will also build a Boutique Hotel on the 5-acre parcel.   Based on Procaccianti neglecting the property and the land in Galilee for many years, why would we want to give his company a 99-year lease?  The Quonset Area Aqua Development wants to put up a massive fish processing plant that will only hurt the Beauty of Galilee, and it will not help our residents, the fishermen, nor the area businesses.     The Town of Narragansett Plan will be a mixed-use development plan that will enhance the area such as a Maritime Museum, Recreational Park, Boutique Hotel, and a consolidated regulated multi-level parking lot that will allow much better use of the 5-acre parcel of land.  If any of would like to call the RIDEM and express your support for the Town of Narragansett Plan, it would be most appreciated.  The phone number for the RIDEM: (401) 222-4700.   Please continue to reach out to a family member or friend who will be willing to cast his or her virtual signature to this petition.   It would be great if we can reach 2500 signatures.   I will be attending Monday's meeting, and I will be advocating to the Narragansett Town Council why they need to do everything in their powers to convince the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management and the State Properties Commission on why the Town of Narragansett's Proposal is the Best proposal for our Gem of a Village: Galilee, so on December 15th, 2021, they will recognize that the Town of Narragansett's Proposal is clearly the Best proposal out of all those submitted for consideration.   Thank you all for your continued support.
