Rivers in Pune need government attention. Let's raise our voice and stand for Clean Rivers
The Issue
Rivers in Pune - Mula , Mutha and Indrayani have been destroyed by ignorance of stakeholders.
Drainages, industrial effluents, illegal dumping of industrial waste, household waste, garbage are major reasons of polluted water bodies.
A huge amount of plastic can be seen flowing in river water and no action is seen being taken to prevent any of these issues.
We demand a strong and firm policy with clear targets mentioning every problem and the solution by the government to clearly solve these problems.
A specific time frame needs to be given to the public which is optimistic about changes from all the stakeholders.
State and Central Government must take the cognizance of the issue and help us save these dying rivers and act on the issues.
Conservation of these rivers if not done on time will lead to massive loss to natural ecosystem and biodiversity around these water sources.
