Don’t you think it is time for a change in age old discriminatory policies too?

The makers of our constitution have used the term ‘POSITIVE DISCRIMINATION’ to describe the additional benefits to the ‘Dalits’. The reason was clear. Since these people had been oppressed for centuries, it was necessary to give them a helping hand and create an all inclusive economic and social growth.

But, in those days, India was a socialist country. Now, we are a capitalist nation and believe in equal opportunity for all.

It can however be argued that even the ‘Black community’ in USA had been oppressed- even more oppressed than the Dalits. Watch the movie ‘Twelve Years a Slave’ to know more. But USA DOES NOT HAVE RESERVATION FOR THE BLACKS.

Friends, tell me what do you feel when a student with 38 percentile can get admission into IIM A – India’s topmost MBA college. Let me tell you what this means. Even if you do not attempt a single question on the Entrance exam for IIM A (i.e. CAT), you can get 55 percentile. That means, 38 percentile is a negative score and any ST candidate can walk into IIM A WITHOUT ATTEMPTING A SINGLE QUESTION! There are General category students with 99.7 who have not even got a call from IIM A! Put yourself in this situation and imagine.

My Experience

I am from Gujarat, yes Modi's Gujarat. During my college admission, I saw that with my rank of 4041/84000 people I could not get into some top colleges of the state like Nirma or DA-IICT as the cut-off was in 3 figure for general category, but  about 63,000 for DAIICT and 67,000 for Nirma for Reserved students (Not Handicapped). Students having 67,000th rank are those who might have passed with grace marks and they are getting into such top college with 0 efforts! These students are those who mostly fails! 

Why Political Parties don’t act?

The answer is simple. Vote bank politics! Not a single party is an exception to this. After 1970s, caste based parties have mushroomed in every state. These parties are against the notion of an all inclusive growth.

Why would a political leader risk his career by harping on this contentious issue? That is why India needs to unite and compel the parties to bite the bullet. Recently I heard in maharashtra is going to bring reservation for Marathis....so it simply means that Maharashtra is slowly going to be a place where non-marathis cant live. Imagine all states of world implementing this bullshit... it would be hard for anyone to leave their state and live in other along with their kids! #AntiGlobalization Its more like PNR Status check of govt which is looking ages old and now should be improved

What is the solution?

Give reservation to every citizen of India whose yearly income is less than a particular amount. Say, less than 1.25 lakhs. OR, No reservation for anyone. Everyone should fight their own battles. Don’t you think that our country shall be more progressive and efficient this way?

 

I AM NOT AGAINST DALITS. THEY ARE MY BROTHERS. THEY ARE THE SONS OF THIS NATION. I AM AGAINST THE CASTE BASED POLICY.

Don’t you think that by giving the status of ‘Reserved Category’, we are in fact dividing our nation? We are in fact separating our own Dalit brothers. Everyone is equal in the eyes of Bharat Mata.

By this policy, we are in fact reminding our Dalit brothers continuously that they are different and downtrodden, that they do not deserve a place among us.

What is the use of a policy that creates DIVIDE among the sons of soil?

I OPPOSE CASTE BASED RESERVATION. JOIN ME. TOGETHER WE SHALL ERADICATE THIS BLOT ON OUR DEMOCRACY.
