All of us are very disturbed seeing images of ill treatment of cattle and images from slaughterhouses in India fill us with revulsion. As a first stop towards implementation of the directive principal aimed at organising agriculture and animal husbandry on modern and scientific lines by improving breeds and prohibiting slaughter of cows, calves, other milch and draught cattle, I humbly petition to the Prime Minister and the Hon'ble Ministers to  put an end to slaughter of cattle on a commercial basis and prohibit the export of ALL cattle meat.

This is in keeping with our religious as well as our social values as well as in keeping with scientific findings which indicate that cattle for beef is one of the main contributors to greenhouse gases (*1) as well cause of many other environmental disasters in the making (*2).

I request the Hon'ble Prime Minister of India and all his ministers to put a permanent end to this heinous business which hurts the sentiments of the people of India.
