We petition the Napa Valley Expo Board to reconsider its decision to evict the Napa Valley Model Railroad Historical Society (NVMRHS) from its decades-long tenancy at the Napa Valley Fairgrounds.
NVMRHS is an important educational, cultural, recreational, and historical resource for the community. NVMRHS interprets the agricultural and industrial heritage of the Napa Valley and is enjoyed by thousands of visitors each year in a multi-generational setting.
It is a place for young people and families to visit, at no cost, in a city where families have decreasing affordable choices for recreation. The eviction of NVMRHS would be a devastating loss of a piece of Napa’s heritage that engages families and promotes community identity.
We want the Napa Valley Expo Board of Directors to know that we are committed to saving this resource.
