We support the preservation of Nantucket as a special, historic, and unique jewel as reflected in so many ways, important among them is the charm of the threatened fragile, historic Nantucket byways.
We therefore urge the HDC to help preserve and protect the special historic character of Nantucket, its buildings, places and districts of historic interests.  One of its most important Historic neighborhoods is North Liberty Street.  Residents, visitors and town officials have a special custodial responsibility to be vigilant and therefore the Westbay (Lily Pond Trust) development and related activity must be denied for the sake of our precious island and for our children and grandchildren.
