Each time I sit down with my love at his favourite chicken establishment, we watch in horror as members of staff stand bewildered by a simple request: ‘could we get more Mango and Lime sauce, please?’. They walk to the sauce rack, scrutinise it for a moment, and return with a sorrowful apology; ‘we don’t have it’. ‘No,’ my partner replies, ‘I know. Could we have the marinade?’. A look washes over their face, it’s like we’ve asked them to do long-division; managers are queried, and we play the 50/50 will-they-give-us-our-sauce game. 

Why create a tangy and delicious marinade, and not have it available as a condiment? Why play this game Nando’s? Why is Wild Herb even relavent? Let my love drown his Peri salted chips in the sauce that’s lights his soul aflame.
