Processing times for the California Board of Nursing are extreme and the time frame is unacceptable.  This time frame affects numerous professional nurses across the United States, most often affecting their livelihood, and ability to work travel assignments, and accept permanent job offers.  In 2018, all license fees for the California Board of Registered Nurses were significantly increased with worsening services to nurses and decreased assistance. Nurses feel strongly about the lack of service provided by the California Board of Registered Nursing, and concur that allowing NURSYS to do license verification would ease the burden on nurses as well as the California Board of Nursing.
