We, the undersigned residents of New York’s First Congressional District, seek the expulsion of Congressman Lee Zeldin, for his act of sedition on January 6th, 2021. Congressman Zeldin objected to certifying the election of President Elect Joe Biden and Vice President Elect Kamala Harris, despite all evidence pointing to their victories in the Electoral College, as well as the popular vote. 

Congressman Zeldin, along with the other seditionists, attempted to subvert the will of the people in his actions. He looked to overturn a free and fair election that was decided by the American people, because he didn’t like the result. This is not how democracy works. This is not appropriate behavior from elected officials who have sworn to uphold the Constitution of the United States.

We call for Congressman Lee Zeldin’s expulsion because acts of sedition cannot stand. Congressman Zeldin has proven himself to be unfit to serve as our representative with his actions. We call upon Speaker Pelosi to expel Congressman Lee Zeldin from the House of Representatives.
