We are at a crossroad for major change in the world. 

As a country we must make swift changes to protect the rights of all American citizens. Symbols like the confederate flag are no different than the swastika. Some May Day the confederate flag represents “Southern heritage” or their “freedom” but the flag is a symbol of oppression for millions of people.

The confederate flag commemorates a dark period in American History and that’s exactly where it should be left, in history. Germany has banned all Nazi paraphernalia, America should do the same out of respect for those we claim to have “free’d”. 

Please join me in signing this petition to remove the confederate flag from private use. We need to remember history but it needs to stay in museums and books and out of the hands of those that think others are beneath them and use the flag as a symbol of privilege and oppression.
