NAFPU as the Voice of Football Players in Namibia, invite all Citizens and Non-Citizens of the Republic of Namibia, a well as the People around the World to join and support the players by signing the PETITION to Kick Off / Start the Football Leagues sanctioned by the Namibia Football Association (NFA) by 28 February 2020.

Football Players (Male and Female) in Namibia, the National Teams and the NATION is suffering and denied active national league football by Namibia Premier League Leadership (NPL), who refuse to accept/adhere and implement the DIRECTIVE by FIFA and DECISIONS of FIFA / NFA Normalization Committee, concerning League football. 

Football is the number 1 NATIONAL Sports Code of NAMIBIA, which is the passion and heartbeat of the Namibian youth and children.

The current Legal battles between the NPL and NFA, which has brought football in Namibia to a stand still is denying football players of their Livelihoods, Dreams and a dignified Future!!!

The Namibian Men`s Senior National Team (Brave Warriors) lost 2-0 against Zambia on 9 November 2019 (Dr. Hage Geingob CUP), mainly due to the lack of fitness and participation in active league football.

The rest of the male (NPL) and female (Women`s Super League) players in Namibia are denied to play competitive football since May 2019 respectively, while the first and the second Division Leagues (Male), did not play any football since 2016/17 Season.

The players have lost their income and the inactivity is increasing the risk of drug and alcohol abuse, which is destroying the youth of Namibia. NAFPU conducted a research on the employment conditions of Football Players (both Male and Female) and can proof the realities of players.

NAFPU therefore in support of the advise by President of Namibia Dr. Hage Geingob (Patron of Football), want the NFA and NPL to get the Administration of Football in order and ensure that the NFA sanctioned Leagues kick off / start by 28 February 2020.
