Scientists announced the discovery of a potential "Planet Nine" in our solar system on Jan. 20, 2016.  The newly discovered Planet Nine evidence points to a giant planet with the mass of 10 Earths. Its orbit is about 20 times farther from the sun than that of Neptune.

David Bowie, musician and actor, was an inspiration for 50 years to people all across the Earth.  His music inspired people globally to look up into the skies and stars, and inspired us all to dream big, think astronomically, and push through boundaries to greater heights.

Only a week after David Bowie's death a new planet is discovered in our solar system. It should be named "Bowie" in honor of David Bowie's lasting legacy of his music that has globally inspired people from astronauts to artists.
