Thanks for taking the time to support this effort! Coach Miller was a staple of Capital High School cross country and track and field for decades, serving as head coach from 1992-2020 and coaching in the Olympia School District for over 40 years. He had many accomplishments throughout his career, including winning the 1997 3A boy’s cross country state championship. His contributions to CHS XC/T&F and the broader Olympia running community throughout his life are unparalleled. As everyone who ran for Coach Miller knows, he was great at coaching running and even better at coaching people and building a team. In honor of his incredible life, we ask for the Capital High School track to be named after Coach Miller, becoming the Jerry Miller Track at Swarthout Field. If you ever ran for Coach Miller, worked with him, or your paths crossed in any other way, please sign this petition to support these efforts! Thank you!
