Coach Cassidy Jones left a huge legacy in Shen soccer history but more importantly inspired thousands of young soccer players in the Clifton Park Soccer community, to play the game of soccer. Coach was a Shen soccer legend, leading the 1988 State Championship team where he scored 5 of the 10 postseason goals earning them the top-ranked team in the nation. He told his players of these moments and the courage and hard work it takes to win. He brought a level of belief and passion to the game that no one else had and he bled Shen green like no one else. Coach Cassidy passed away this year to cancer. We want Coach's Shen legacy to live on forever. Having the new fields named after him would have been the ultimate honor for Coach.
