Naming the high school field after him would serve as a lasting tribute to his contributions and impact.

Joe Laws played in the NFL for the Green Bay Packers as a prominent running back and was part of the team that won three National Championships in the 1930s and 1940s. His dedication and achievements on the field are a source of pride for Colfax, and naming the high school sports field in his honor will ensure that his legacy continues to inspire future generations.


He was inducted into the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame, the Iowa Athletics Hall of Fame and the Iowa Sports Hall of Fame.
