Namco Bandia: Ace Combat Movie Following the Story of Either, Ace Combat 04, 5, or Zero
The Issue
Ace Combat was a half flight simulator, half arcade flight game franchise from Namco Bandai that was a star player in SONY's PlayStation 2 "game collection".
The Ace Combat games, most notably Ace Combat 04 and Ace Combat 5, were some, if not, the greatest games to have been released for the PlayStation 2. The games were a tremendous success, having a fan base that sees them as great "childhood memories" and for some people even inspired them to become pilots in the future.
As a member of this somewhat "old" fan base, I believe I speak for the majority of it when I say this franchise needs a movie. The Ace Combat franchise and its games, most importantly 04 and 5, with their amazing and sometimes emotional stories have touched the hearts of many fans. However, with the latest release of Ace Combat Assault Horizon, it has left many people of this "old" fan base to stray away from the franchise, labeling it as "ruined". I do not regret to say that I agree with these people in a small manner, to the point that the Ace Combat franchise is nothing what it used to be, but with a well made and funded movie, we can experience the true Ace Combat universe, in a new and different way than the games did, and it may even pay off dramatically for both the fans and producers alike.
When you look at the "universe" of the Ace Combat games within the fictional world of 04, 5, Zero, etc, the story and detail, as well as the characters, really do speak out to the fans and say "this needs to become a movie". The fans of this great franchise would like to see nothing more than to see it go back to the fame it used to have, and what else would benefit both the developers, publishers, and fans other than a blockbuster movie?
This petition is to possibly gain your attention and show that Ace Combat still has the "old" and true fan base waiting for Namco Bandia to pull the franchise out of the gutter and to show the gaming and movie industries in the world today just how great Ace Combat is.
