Najmeh Amini is a 23-year-old Iranian accounting student from Mashhad who was arrested on January 31, 2026, during protests in Iran. She is being held in Vakilabad Prison in Mashhad.

According to reports published by HRANA and the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Najmeh was sentenced to death on September 16, 2026 and is in imminent danger of execution. These developments have raised urgent concerns about her life, and access to legal representation and right to a fair trial.

We call on everyone who sees this petition to urge their government to exert diplomatic pressure on the Islamic Republic of Iran to:

1. Immediately halt any execution proceedings against Najmeh Amini and ensure that her life is protected.
2.  Demand independent verification of her legal status and guarantee her immediate access to independent legal representation.
3. Demand an independent review of her cases, with full respect for international human rights law and fair-trial standards.
4. Raise her case urgently through diplomatic channels and international human rights mechanisms, including the United Nations, to help safeguard her life and fundamental rights.
