Hello,

My name is Kristina Haywood. Im a 31 year old single mother, work full time and have 2 children, Kiylen 10 and Cameron 20 months. We live in Sidney, Ohio, population around 20,000, with around 750 African Americans. Wednesday night when i picked up my kids from the babysitter, my daughter showed me a video she recorded of the babysitter beating my 1 year old son. When I confronted her she denied hitting him, then admitted "spanking" him then yelled that his butt wasn't even red (I never said that, my daughter told me later that his back and behind were both red). So she calls the police on me. I leave because i'm in a town with minimum african Americans so i know how this will go. The police pull me over down the road. They say she claims i beat her up but they couldn't prove anything so they let me go. Before I drive off I showed them the video of her abusing my son and the officer responded that he would send the report to Job and Family Services to investigate. Thursday comes, this child abuser posted slander about me all over fb which led to me getting hate messages. She claimed she only spanked him once because he hurt her daughter. Never said that to me however. I emailed the sheriff's deputy who I talked with the night before and asked if I could press charges for slander. He said no, it's considered freedom of speech. So I then posted online the video of her abusing my son since obviously that's not a criminal act. It's garnered alot of shares and attention. Monday comes and I call JFS to find out how the investigation is going and am told they are not investigating. I asked why, the woman said based on the police report, it didn't appear she did anything wrong. So I asked, even with video evidence and a witness, you're not going to do anything?! She asked what video, that they never received a video. So I sent it to her myself because obviously sometimes lying about it being sent. I have not heard back as of today. So yesterday, 8/27, I'm made aware of a post the abuser's brother posted saying I'm lying, calling my son a bully, saying he's a little shit, saying i'm a piece of shit, etc, with others joining in. All of this evidence I have. Again, i'm being slandered and harassed, with nothing being done. Today, I get a call from the sheriff's office while at work saying that this girl made a report saying im harassing her and for me to stop if I am. I told that deputy I have had no contact with her since the day I confronted her, no messages, texts, nothing. He still insists that i leave her alone. So I said, that's funny because I asked if i could report her making those posts about me and was told the prosecutor would not approve charges and nothing can be done. So here we are. Nothings being done about my son being abused. They're literally harassing me and so is the sheriff's office. Im tired. I've contacted a lawyer but haven't heard back yet. I need help. I want this public and for them to pay. My baby is only 1. He can't advocate for himself, but I can. I'm willing to make this national and more if I have to.
