I started this petition because I’m tired of watching the same thing happen over and over: false stories destroy people’s lives, platforms make billions amplifying division, and creators who actually build audiences get almost nothing in return.
As a 61-year-old disabled veteran and independent creator, I’ve seen firsthand what happens when there are no real consequences for lies and no fair pay for the people who create value. This isn’t theoretical for me — it’s personal.
NAA2026: Truth With Teeth is simple but powerful:
- Real, prominent corrections when stories are proven false
- Fair pay for creators
- Accountability for platforms that knowingly spread harmful lies
- No more hiding behind Section 230 when they profit from damage
We’re not asking for censorship. We’re asking for accountability after the fact
— the same standard we hold almost every other industry to.
