When I started this petition three years ago, I wondered if Australia would get behind it. Back then, it felt like the idea of pill testing was something most people couldn't get their heads around or support. Now, we are almost at 100,000 signatures, and I couldn't have done it without your help.
Many of you have been with me from day one, and many more are just signing on to this campaign: more than 33,000 of you signed this petition in the last couple of weeks. The momentum is building. Politicians can't ignore pill testing any longer.

My dream is to have 100,000 signatures by the time I deliver this petition to NSW Parliament later this week. Can I ask you to help me get to that milestone by sharing this petition with your communities? We know now that the majority of Australian voters support pill testing. It doesn't matter if you vote Liberal, National, Labor, or Greens: the majority of all of their voters now support pill testing.
So please: email this petition to your family and friends, and share it on your Facebook or Twitter. The majority of Australians are behind us, but directly in front of us are lots of politicians who are getting in the way of the will of the Australian people. We all just want to keep young people as safe as possible. Let's not let these politicians stand in our way.

PS thank you to everyone who has already donated to the Gofundme to get me to Sydney for the petition delivery. In just 24 hours I have almost reached my target, we're only a few hundred dollars away. If anyone still wished to donate, please feel free to do so here. I have been overwhelmed by your generosity and your moving comments.
I wanted to share this one from a woman named Jo:
Despite your heartbreak, you have pushed through in the quest to make a difference for other families. Please know that even though pill testing is still not legal, Daniel and his story has given me the opportunity to talk to my daughters about drug taking at festivals. My eldest daughter chose to write a piece about the need for drug testing at music festivals for her Year 12 English submission last year. Daniel and yourself were mentioned in the article. You'll be happy to know she got a great mark and a few weeks ago she went to the Falls Festival in Lorne for 4 days and came back safe and sound. Spreading the word and family discussions about this issue is crucial. Yes, the ultimate goal is for testing stations but your work is saving lives right now. Please know how many Mothers are grateful for your courage.
Thank you Jo, and thank you to everyone who has signed, shared, commented, and donated to this campaign. I am so touched. Just when I think I’m on my own, your support has made me feel like Daniel is still here x
