The Issue

The Woodlands College Park High School is trying to take away trans students’ rights to use their names and pronouns. Every student deserves to be respected for who they are. The 9th Amendment protects rights beyond those listed in the Constitution, and that includes the right to one’s identity. Denying someone’s name and pronouns doesn’t protect anyone; it only causes harm and discrimination. We stand with trans students because every name and pronoun matters, and every person matters.
