Recently I've asked my mom if we could adopt a new kitten. She turned me down time and time again and I'm extremely distraught. She feels that a kitten is "too much work" and "we already have enough animals" but I think he will be a great addition to the family. I've told her over and over that I'll do everything for the cat is it'll feel like he's not even there. Despite the fact I've lived with and cared for cats my whole life she won't consider it and doesn't believe that I'm capable of caring for a kitten on my own. I really need some support from others to try and change my mother's mind about this. This is a great opportunity to prove myself to my mom and I believe this kitten will make a positive change to my family.
