Carol Roe - Justice for Julieka

Hello everyone again, this is Ms Dhu's Uncle, Shaun. First I have to thank you for the MASSIVE support so far for the Copwatch campaign by the National Justice Project. It is clear my niece's supporters want to see police answer for their violence. The National Justice Project human rights lawyers have received a week racist abuse, messages, phone calls and emails since the campaign has begun. They have even had word that right wing journalists will strike soon. Some people clearly don't like the idea of empowered Aboriginal communities - but my people need their stories shared to world. They have loud voices - but together we have power - Please stand with us in support and DONATE what ever you can: https://chuffed.org/project/copwatchnjp Here in WA they are arresting us at world record rates - it's harming us and hurting our babies. We need to shine a light on these practices. In the Northern Territory they have laws called "paperless arrests" - meaning police can arrest you even if you have done no crime- they just get to decide that you "might" do a crime. And guess who they target- 80% of these so "paperless arrests" were of Aboriginal peoples. People need to see what this racial profiling looks like on camera - I bet if you saw it on camera - you would feel sick. This racism is making Aboriginal peoples sick and it's killing them in custody and reducing their life spent with loved ones. Please help the National Justice Project be able to send the pro bono human rights lawyers and Aboriginal media professionals to communities so we can help them to document all of this on camera - it's happening every day. The world needs to know and understand - together we can do this: https://chuffed.org/project/copwatchnjp Help show the countless trolls sending racist abuse that this project will be successful. And help show the police that Aboriginal peoples will have new ways of standing up for themselves in court and in the media. And once again thank you to all who have supported Copwatch so far - please keep sharing with your friends. For everybody else - please chip in now, every dollar counts! https://chuffed.org/project/copwatchnjp
