I am Shaun the uncle of 'Ms Dhu'. I'm writing to thank you for your amazing support of our family so far-and to ask for your help on this important project once again. There project that will help my people protect themselves from police. I can't save my niece, but I want to help other young Indigenous kids and their families show the world what is happening. Aboriginal people need to learn how to video our interactions with police when police aren't behaving right. Then we can use this footage to show what the problem is and get the police to start treating us better, and taking what we say seriously. We need to get more respect. I'm asking if you can to chip in to help get some Indigenous journalists that know about how we do this, and pro bono human rights lawyers so people know their rights, to run training in the most impacted Aboriginal communities in Australia. I know lots don't have the funds and that's ok, but if you can, I really want to see this happen. She died all alone in a cell. Her body was dragged and shoved into the back of a police car where she was driven to hospital and declared dead.
