My Compromise for the gates around Nobel Charter Middle School

My Compromise for the gates around Nobel Charter Middle School
The Issue
Hey y'all! As you can see, for the meeting about the gates, most of the community has most likely voted for the school to have gates. Although it can be good to be concerned about the safety of the students, it came at a cost. The person who made the petition to put gates around the school didn't keep into consideration the mental health problems some people have with the school having gates. As you may know, the title of this petition used to be called No Gate Nobel. The reason why the petition was named that and my old description was like that was because I felt too panicked due to that lady. She didn't even bother asking the school office about it first and being patient for the meeting about the gates. Instead, she decided to make the petition first and then ask the school office about the gates. This is not fair! Some of us aren't even mentally ready yet for the school to have gates. We want to make up a certain amount of time that the school should be ungated before it gets the permanent gates so that we could gradually reap the benefits. Making up the amount of time for the school to be ungated will help us feel more ready for the gating project. It could help us get over the 2021 trauma that we developed just because of the pandemic. Some of us are really tired of the fact that 2019 was the only whole year that the school didn't have gates and the time before the first COVID quarantine. We need a little more time for the school to be ungated just because we didn't feel like that time was enough for us and that we just came from a worldwide pandemic. Personally, I want the school to be ungated for 3 1/2-4 whole school years before it gets its permanent gates. This would help me because I could gain the feeling of 2019 again and it would also help me get over my 2021 trauma. Also, I like it when this school is ungated because it looks more lively. We could also say the amount of time and vote for it so that there wouldn't be much conflict with it. Also, we could put a timeline so that some people are aware of the amount of time there is before the school gets permanent gates. If we don't get this type of meeting soon enough, then there will be some people protesting around the school asking for it to be ungated. Who's fault is it going to be if they don't allow this? The principal of the school and the superintendent of LAUSD Northwest. So please make sure that this petition gets enough signatures ASAP so that the superintendent can know about it and we could have a meeting ASAP about this, even though it was preferred to have it in June 2023 because of the pressure that they will more likely start planning by then. The image above is supposed to pressure you to get many signatures on this petition ASAP.
