The Washington Post just reported that President Obama is likely to grant more commutations for nonviolent drug offenders soon. We don't know if Tim will be on this list but we're hoping he will. I shared this new with Tim and he wanted me to pass on a message to all of you:
"I feel blessed that so many people felt compelled to sign a petition for me. If I was actually given the clemency then I could not even begin to thank each person properly. I saw some of my friends go home that I have knew for close to twenty years that had life sentences also. Just watching them go felt so good to me. Part of me was jealous and wanted to be on that freedom bus.
But just seeing people that I knew and served many years of time with go home made me happy for them. I know that it is difficult to get 10,000 people to support anything so I feel so thankful and blessed with every single signature that was signed for my release. It shows that there are still some kind and compassionate people among us. I appreciate the support and hope the President feels that my sentence is unjust also.
Thank you, Peace and Love Tim"
Please keep sharing Tim's petition. It's so important that we keep highlighting his case. Just click these links to help:
